Upon the launch of its SeoulBusan route, Air Busan filled 49.7 percent of its seats, while its competitor on the same route, Korean Air had 61.2 percent. About five months later in March 2009, however, Air Busan's boarding rate exceeded that of its competitor, 54.7 percent to 54.1 percent. For the Busan-Jeju route, Air Busan is also taking the lead, filling 77.7 percent of its seats. The airline has code-share operation with its parent company Asiana for the 4 routes.
